MIEMSS Public Information Contributes to MIEMSS' overall vision of eliminating preventable death and disability by providing to the public essential information on how to recognize an emergency and incorporate injury prevention methods in their daily lives.

AED Program

The Maryland Public Access Automated External Defibrillator Program permits a business, organizations, associations, etc., to make AEDs available for individuals suffering sudden cardiac arrest on the premises, prior to the arrival of emergency medical services personnel.


MIEMSS provides digital, print, and social media publications intended to reach EMS clinicians and the public to inform and share current events and information that impacts EMS in Maryland.

Awareness & Prevention

MIEMSS in cooperation with many local, state, regional and national partners, creates and supports educational content developed to make Maryland safer.

Public Orders / Clinician Reports

The State EMS Board reviews patient care complaints and allegations of EMS clinician misconduct. Public Orders are searchable from this online database, and include actions taken by the Board.
